Mixed Martial Arts at Rooney's Gym

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full combat sport that allows for a wide variety of fighting techniques to be used in competition. The rules allow the use of striking and grappling techniques, both whilst standing and on the ground.

If you are looking to expand your disciplines into MMA, Kick Boxing etc, or they already are your main discipline, then Rooney's is the perfect place to train. Our facilities are second to none and all Martial Arts 1-2-1 training and group classes are undertaken by professional coaches from the Bandog MMA organisation.

There are various classes available covering the disciplines that make up the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. These include Fundamental Boxing Skills, Vale Tudo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as specific techniques such as grappling and stand up.

7.00pm Monday - Stand up/Fundamental Boxing Skills

7.00pm Tuesday - Sparring & Technique

7.00pm Wednesday - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Grappling Technique

7.00pm Thursday - Vale Tudo/MMA

11.00am Saturday - Junior Class by Djo

11.00am Sunday - Open Training/Sparring

All classes are approximately 90 minutes in duration and are held in the MMA Room
